Special Baby Boy
This is a story about an "unwanted" child under the care of hopeful childless parents. Cute baby boy was born on 14Sept 2005 and he is 3weeks earlier than what was predicted.
When he was still nestled in the mommy's womb, both biological parents had a big argument and daddy has decided to let go of the mommy. Heinous daddy has met someone younger and he thought of eloping. Mommy, who was desperate and didn’t know what to do, went to a neighbor's house and asked if she knows of someone who wants a baby. Neighbor said she has a niece who has wanted a baby badly. However, neighbor didn’t know the fact that biological parents are illegal emigrants. All was well until the day arrived. Niece was so happy of the baby's arrival. When niece brought baby boy to the clinic (baby was born at home), documents was needed and thus the whole truth unraveled. No one from the govt clinic cared for the innocent baby. No medical attention was given. Neighbor and niece were desperate. Looked for a private clinic and the charges were hefty. Hmm...where does humanitarian values have gone too? However, neighbor and niece were happy because at least the baby got his first immunization. Mommy was treated too but got a tongue slashing from the govt clinic for being illegal. Mommy left the baby boy in neighbor's care. Niece went helter skelter to shop for baby's clothes and to find out more on adoption. Niece could not find any way out and was on the verge of giving up. Niece spoke to her hubby and he had the disappointment look on his face. Niece's husband said that probably it was not their luck. Then baby boy was sent back to the biological parents. But then again the condition of biological parents' house is in a bad shape. No proper hygiene to be seen (mosquitoes breed everywhere). Their first child had no proper clothes to wear, no medical attention given, and didn’t even go to school. Niece's husband could not tolerate the condition they were in. At night, niece's husband could not sleep. He could not imagine what will happen to the cute baby boy. He discussed it with wife (niece). Niece decided they will look for solution and decided to adopt. Managed to get a clinic far away and the matron being so sweet wrote a letter to say that she has seen the baby boy and that the baby boy has no medical complications. Niece and husband went to Social Welfare and registered the baby boy. Baby boy now has an official name. Both biological parents were asked to sign a letter stating that they have no intention and means to keep the baby and want niece and husband to take care of the little one. This letter is very crucial as it is a legal documents stating that the biological parents cannot claim any monetary gains at the later stage or when baby boy has grown up. This legal letter also serves as a guarantee to the niece and husband that this child is given to them voluntarily. Niece and husband now is working on the baby's passport (niece and hubby are frequent travelers) and trying so very hard to at least get a PR status.
Baby boy is now resting comfortably with sufficient clothes to wear, enough milk to drink and receive so much love and attention. Baby boy is also given vitamins (underweight) and antibiotics (has mild jaundice). Everyone is happy at the moment. Biological parents have no idea where they baby is being sheltered now. Niece and hubby prefer it to be that way. Niece's sister in law, however, reminded that everyone has to be prepared should things crop up later. Everyone has to remain strong and help one another. At the moment, let's give the niece and husband a pleasant and enjoyable ride being new parents. May God bless them for taking care of the baby and may they have an eternal happiness as a family.

Weekend updates
Friday evening. I attended HP’s Dinner and Dance. It was held at the eleventh hour (2 weeks notice). Mgmt had wanted to say thank you to the staff coz the Contact Ctr won Gold medal for the Contact Ctr of the Year. It was held at Ritz Carlton Convention Ctr. I had no intention to go but my boss asked me why suddenly I am an anti-social? I said coz I always feel so tired. She said unless I got a better excuse, she wouldn’t want me to miss this one. Oklah, I obliged. I probably will have a good time there, I told myself. The show was ok….it was a Latino nite. But the food…2.5 out of 5. Door gift. This I like. It’s a nice cute backpack. A lot of group performance. Funny lar. I have got no complaints. But then that nite I see the mgmt really let their hair down. Almost all were drunk. Funny to see them in that state….drunk and dancing away. I think we have to have a new caption for the mgmt. When you drink, dun dance else you will be remembered for the rest of your lives huhahahahahahaa…This caption is only meant for the top management level of coz. I left at around 2325h.
Weekend was great even though I overspent and walked quite a mile. As long as that lil giant of mine had fun, everything else doesn’t matter, does it?
Saturday, half of the day was spent at home. All of us slept. Dunno why we felt so tired. It must be the cool weather. Had wanted to scout for a wkend class for Aqim but then he slept from 2.15pm till 5.35pm. So his Abi(Mansor@Dee) and I had a perfect time to watch tv. After solat Maghrib, this family got so hungry we can eat an elephant. Initially I had in mind to go to Bangsar for dinner but then again we had to turn back to go to Cheras. So we decided to just go to Juara Soto @ Soto Makcik Paini, Noreez’s family friend Soto shop. Sedap….slurp slurp slurp. Aqim had a feast. We ordered soto and sate. We were extremely full and could hardly walk. But malu betul lah, when time to pay they refused to give us the bill. So malu lah makan free. Makcik Paini and hubby said they have been waiting for us to come visit their shop. Felt so bad la. We wanna go but then we know if we go there often, we will get free food from them. Paise la. They invited us in and we managed to catch a glimpse of Mawi’s performance for Anugerah Era. After a short talk, we left the place, still feeling so full….burp burp burp.
Was at my aunt’s place at quarter to 10. Aqim had his playmate there, Iman. My cousin’s baby. Both we talking to each other in babies' language. Then both laugh like as if Aqim has cracked a big joke. Iman ketawa sampai meleleh air mata. Yalah Aqim tu size dah lah macam badut, so Iman thought, his parents had ‘employed’ a clown to amuse him hehehehehehee. We left at around 2315h. Hubby called a friend who is working for McDonald’s Gombak. He had asked hubby to come to the shop for a while to discuss abt body toning issue. Since we have to pass by the outlet, hubby decided to meet him there. Dapat makan free lagi (*malu). I can’t feed myself anymore. So we packed the food. The only thing we ate on the spot was the choc sundae that I shared with Aqim. Went home but I can’t sleep coz too full to lay myself in bed. Aqim, being happy and full, he zonked out after the helper changed his diapers and changed to his pyjamas.
Since I slept almost 0200h. I woke up late…at ard 10pm. Had morning prayers and went back to sleep. It was a beauty sleep I am yearning for. Hubby left for work at 1pm. He told us to meet him later at his workplace. Alah malas plak lah nak pi Sri Hartamas. Aqim seemed restless at home. At 1330h, he suddenly slept with me on my bed. I told the helper when he wakes up, we will go look for dinner. Ard 1625h, Aqim woke up. Helper showered him and I got myself ready. Called for the taxi to send us to KLCC. I just had the intention to eat at Sushi King. Aqim was amused looking at the food in a conveyor belt. So excited it seems. After that we went to Aquaria. Something similar to Singapore’s Underwater World. It was quite pricey. We paid RM38 for adult(without My Kad) . Children below 3yrs of age are given free admission. The place is huge. I think it is twice as big as Spore’s Underwater World. Managed to catch feeding time. The sharks seemed tame…..yelah coz I am not within reach. Agaknya kalau dia dapat makan aku, hai…setahun kenyang hehehehehehehe. Aqim was so excited looking at those tish (he pronounce fish as tish). Sampai nak balik pun menangis. Then the next stop we went to was Dee’s workplace. The fitness ctr is super huge and cozy. Big machines everywhere. Helper said she feels like trying the thread mill. I said go and thread mill with Aqim la. If u can run after him for 30mins flat, then she is game for any thread mill. I think it’s Aqim’s day today. He was happily playing with the gym ball and the small indoor playground at the resting area. We left at around 2317h and Dee wanted to have supper first. We had prata banjir and hot beverage and shortly after we head home. All of us were so exhausted and slept at around 0100h. Aqim had a blasting nite and slept well throughout the nite with a chuckle once in a while. Perhaps he was having a blissful dream J
PS: Yep with the field trip at Dee’s work place, I realized he has no one in his mind except for me. And the fact is everyone knows that he is married and acknowledged me. Terasa macam bini boss plak….heh perasan perasan…….
