Three more months..........

If God permits, in 3months time exactly... I will be celebrating my 33rd birthday..... I feel so old.....but mom said it's just a number...dun think about it.......

I had interview today. ISR-Inside Sales Rep(account management). To me it seems ok...I am confident when I answered...now the rest  depends on luck. At this same time, Helmi is also going thru and interview. I really hope he will land himself a new job. If God grants only one wish....my wish is for him to get a new job...really....poor him and he is the most patient person I ever known.......yes he is my brother...

What I am pretty disturbed is when one of the HR personel(not the interviewer) said that I cannot go thru this interview coz if it's meant for Spore market, Mandarin is a must. Now let me see......I have worked in Spore for the longest time and Mandarin is just secondary! Wait a sec..Spore's main language isn't it not English? Then why Mandarin is a must afterall it's corporate account we are talking about. Well some people just love to create a mountain out of a molehill. I hate it la.......as if she knows everything but she knows peanuts! Gosh....I am so pissed with her.

Interesting fact to read

A very good read.......something to think about on a weekend...Have a great wkend all.......

A jobless man applied for the position of "office boy" at Microsoft. The HR manager interviewed him then watched him cleaning the floor as a test.
"You are employed" he said. "Give me your e-mail address and I'll send you the application to fill in, as well as date when you may start. The man replied "But I don't have a computer, neither an email".
"I'm sorry", said the HR manager. If you don't have an email, that means you do not exist. And who doesn't exist, cannot have the job."

The man left with no hope at all. He didn't know what to do, with only $10 in his pocket. He then decided to go to the supermarket and buy a 10Kg tomato crate. He then sold the tomatoes in a door to door round. In less than two hours, he succeeded to double his capital. He repeated the operation three times, and returned home with $60.

The man realized that he can survive by this way, and started to go everyday earlier, and return late. Thus, his money doubled or tripled every day. Shortly, he bought a cart, then a truck, and then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.

5 years later, the man is one of the biggest food retailers in the US. He started to plan his family's future, and decided to have a life insurance. He called an insurance broker, and chose a protection plan. When the conversation was concluded the broker asked him his email.

The man replied, "I don't have an email."
The broker answered curiously, "You don't have an email, and yet have succeeded to build an empire. Can you imagine what you could have been if you had an e mail?!!"
The man thought for a while and replied, "Yes, I'd be an office boy at Microsoft!"

Moral of the story
Moral # 1  - Internet is not the solution to your life.
Moral # 2 - If you don't have internet, and work hard, you can be a millionaire.
Moral 3- If you received this message by email, you are closer to being an office boy/girl, than a millionaire... Have a great day!!!

P.S - Do not forward this email back to me, I am closing my email & going to sell tomatoes!!!

Break outs!

I got huge breakouts around my chin. It looks like a mini volcano that will erupt anytime. This is what I dislike when hormonal changes take place. Anywhere but not the face. It's really itchy and irritating and painful...esp on the eyebrow....ouch!!!!!!!

On a lighter note, hmm...my darling son is now moving on to the next milestone. He likes to immitate face expressions and words we utter. When his abi raise his voice a little, Mustaqim will just close his face or cover his eyes with his tiny hands and looked at his abi's expression between his fingers! How hilarious. Now he can say out his name now too... Qim...Di...Itan(for Mustaqim Mulyadi Ihsan).

I just can't wait to go home when I talk about him. Hahahahahahahahahahhaa

Ok for now. Nothing much to write. Actually i am really flushed out today. The hormons...it must be the hormons.....

Early Pregnancy Symptoms by Lori Ramsey
Conception occurs within twenty-four hours of ovulation. Normally you will not know you are pregnant until your menstrual cycle is late. The average time to take a home pregnancy test is approximately 2 weeks after ovulation or conception occurs. So realistically you are pregnant for 2 weeks before you confirm it. Is there any way of knowing if pregnancy has occurred during the 2 weeks – before the menstrual cycle is missed? Yes and no.Some women will experience symptoms right from the very beginning while others will not experience any – even after the confirmation from a pregnancy test. Every woman is different in how her body will react to pregnancy. In fact, every pregnancy is different. In 2 of my 3 pregnancies I had early pregnancy symptoms. In one pregnancy I had no symptoms – almost the entire time – except of course for weight gain and quickening. Here is a list of the possible early pregnancy symptoms you may have:
1. Implantation spotting. This can occur anywhere from 3 to 12 days post ovulation. This sometimes happens when the fertilized egg burrows into the uterine lining.
2. Fatigue. Hormones run rampant during pregnancy and the side effect is extreme fatigue, especially for a first time mom.
3. Frequent urination. This is very likely during the first trimester and the last trimester. Early on it is due to the swelling of the uterus over the bladder. As the baby and uterus grows it will lift off the bladder giving some relief during the 2nd trimester.
4. Morning sickness. The effects of the pregnancy hormones can cause morning sickness even before you know you are pregnant.
5. Breast changes. Blue veins running across the breast – breast tenderness – darkening of the areolas – a result from those hormones.
6. Cramps. Yes, sometimes cramps can be felt as a result of the expanding uterus at around the time the menstrual period is due.
7. Food cravings. Sometimes those funny little food cravings will appear right away.
8. High basal body temperature. If you chart your temperature – it will continue staying in the high range because of the progesterone running through your body. You can possibly have one or two or all or none of these symptoms when in early pregnancy.
I’ve been pregnant three times and all three times were extremely different. With my first pregnancy – before I took the home pregnancy test I experienced the fatigue, morning sickness and food cravings. With number 2 I had no symptoms. I was totally shocked when I took the pregnancy test and it came out positive. In fact, the sole reason I took the pregnancy test was for the lack of premenstrual symptoms. With my third pregnancy at 10 days post ovulation I had a bout of fatigue hit me in the middle of the day – very unusual for me. The following morning the smell of biscuits cooking brought on morning sickness so I tested. It was a whopping 4 days before my menstrual period was due and the home pregnancy test was positive!Of course the number one early pregnancy symptom is the missed menstrual period.

14February.....the world is in love

14Feb.....It's lovers day today. We as Muslims are told not to celebrate it.....why? Hmm...for many reasons I supposed. Story began when a jewish was jailed and he wrote a letter expressing his love to the love of his life, put it in a bottle and let it adrift into a river. From then on it was called Valentine's day...it's after his name. Well, it is a story told to me. When people say...hey Nurul, Happy Valentine's Day and my quick reaction is always....No...I don't celebrate... Suddenly I feel that I was being rude. I should have said...."Oh thanks....everyday I am in love". It's a greeting that someone is telling me....so i should just greet it back politely.

Why we are told not to celebrate..let me put it on a personal note. Youngsters these days do not actually know the true meaning of it....Ikut-ikut ajer....they are the followers. I see alot of them hugging and kissing in public. Dah takde segan silu lagi. The ego-centric men bought big gigantic expensive flowers or made reservations in restaurants to show thier undying love for their partners. The women....in sexy outfit....with radiant face expect something so romantic from the men.....Restaurants and florists jack up their pricelist and today I saw a stalk rose cost RM10! Any other days it's a mere RM2.50. How foolish la. I am not sour grape just because my hubby dun buy me flowers and recite to me romantic poems on this lovers' day. I just find its out of proportion on certain things. However, let's just say today a flower cost RM10 not only meant to commemorate V Day but also for a good cause..donation namely, I will not mind buying of coz...for myself la. We can celebrate this day today but let's be moderate and level headed. I read in papers that one guy drove all the way to Cameron Highands, bought 100 stalks of roses for his gf and drove back to KL and gave the flowers to her. She was overwhelmed and was in tears. Let me continue (my own version)....then one fine day...they argued fiercely about the guest in their wedidng list and both rake up about the sacrifices they had done to each other. Eventually both didnt want to give up had bitter tots of each other.....they just called off their relationship....What happened to the time and money spent? Who lost? Who gains? Hmm....seems like a familiar story? U bet! I went thru some bad relationships once upon a time and spent lavishly on the person I tot I was going to share my life with but it didnt happen. But definitely no regrets. And that's the reason why, personally, I don't take Valentine's Day seriously and so does my spouse. I'd rather call it...Happy Friendship Day......it's more meaningful......

To my friends out there reading this blog...Happy Friendship Day and to Zaida who tied the knot yesterday......Congratulations!!!!

Smile everyone......

Syukur Alhamdulillah...Salam Maal Hijrah 1426..This is my third time trying to post this entry......sigh!!!!

Amin..

I read something meaningful on TV3 today. It reads: "Janganlah kita alpa. Dengan kealpaan akan datangnya dugaan yang tidak diduga". I believe that this words though simple carries a very heavy meaning. I realise that everytime we are so engross with our work and forgotten our spiritual responsibilities, God will surprise us with something we've never think about. It's like a wake up call telling us to buck up and do something worth while. Semua ini milik yang Esa. Kita cuma pinjam saja. When the time is up, we have to return it to Him. Allah Haq.

When Mr Right comes at the wrong time

This is really a good read. Enjoy……….

When Mr Right comes at the wrong time
by Janice Wong

SOMETIMES, timing rather than love decides who we end up being with or without.

Only some lucky people marry the loves of their lives. The rest marry the most suitable person who comes along when they are ready to settle down.

A friend in his 20s came to this conclusion after confiding in me that he had recently met a woman who is more attractive than his wife, and so occupies his thoughts more often than his wife does.

'If only I had met her before I got married,' he said wistfully.

But I think even if the love of one's life appears when one is single, one may not be in the right frame of mind to recognise him or her as such.    And then love passes by.

Life is littered with near misses and lost opportunities.

I attended my ex-boyfriend's wedding last month, which triggered many memories. We met five years ago when I was 23 and he 31. It was love at first sight. He had an established career, was down-to-earth and steadfastly religious. I was then working as an air stewardess and my head was - literally and metaphorically - in the clouds.    I was also - well, let's put it this way - not religious. Despite our differences, we were soulmates. We had the same quirky sense of humour and shared long, intense overnight conversations. But human nature is perverse. When someone is excessively nice to us, we start taking things for granted, instead of appreciating them even

more.

My ex sent me to the airport, fixed my PC, reminded me to take health supplements - and go to church. He had everything I could want in a husband - except that I was not looking for one. A boyfriend was all I could cope with then. I loved fast cars, danced wildly at Zouk and took off on shopping holidays at a whim. My life revolved around I, me and myself.

In the six months that we were together, he popped the question several times and talked ad nauseam about having children. He wanted us to enrol for a Christian marriage preparation course. Yes, I did often fantasise about a Vera Wang wedding gown, but I was at that stage of my life when I was more interested in Guess than Baby Guess. And where - dare I admit it? - I still wanted to meet other men. So I was a 23-year-old with the emotional maturity of a 13-year-old. Responsibility? Wasn't that for adults? In short, I met Mr Right at the wrong time.

The more he talked about marriage and religion, the more I felt pressured and the more pressured I felt, the more irritable I became. I was too impatient to compromise. Every trivial matter blew up as a big deal. My mood obliterated the good in our relationship and reached a point where I just wanted out. He was heartbroken; I was sad but relieved. He still called me regularly, beseeching me to change my mind.    The calls stopped finally after a year. Now and then, we say 'Hi' via e-mail.

I had a few painful relationships after that. Served me right, as those rude wake-up calls were necessary for me to realise the meaninglessness of my hedonistic high life.

I missed the tenderness of my ex and began having second thoughts. Perhaps I also felt more urgency to find someone marriageable before my biological clock reached zero hour. It dawned on me that I am not a pixie like Peter Pan who can flit around forever. One day, I'd wake up sick and alone when my fair weather friends flit away.

But I was too proud and too unsure of my ex's reaction to call him until last year. The first thing he told me excitedly was that he had found The One. My heart tumbled to my feet. So, that's Fate.    If only I could turn back time. If only I had met him later. If only... what feeble words.

These days, I am more circumspect. I have come to terms with my loss. There is nothing I can do about timing, but I can do everything about my choices. Sometimes, when the nights get lonely, I toy with the idea of marrying a platonic friend of mine, who often assures me earnestly that, if the worst comes to the worst, he'd be willing to marry me. But I always dismiss that. I have already made one mistake. I should not make another by settling for second best merely for the sake of getting hitched - only to regret it soon after, as the guy who confided in me did.

Hopefully, the best is not over but yet to be.

WOW....

Ok Ok......I am updating this blog already. You see my ardent reader is asking how come no latest news? Ada ker aku ardent fan or just hallucinating. Hmm hallucination is a sign of old age! Adoi! Talking about age...I am 33 this year. Wah......such a ripe age. I just felt that it was only yesterday I left Tanjong Katong Girls' Pre-U ctr and did a string of mischievious act. And now I am at this age chasing after my very active son! Amazing huh.

Where to I start now? Hmm.....alrite, I came home for Raya Haji and it was a more organised trip. No promises made to some friends I promised to visit and didnt even breathe a word to anyone except for my 2nd extended family i.e. Noris' clan, that I was coming home. But this time round the journey was the worst. We started driving at 9pm, visited Cik Asmah's house and left her place at 9.30pm and reached Spore at 7am!!!!!! I think if I took a flight to Narita(Japan), I would have landed and came back coz the journey is 10hours. The jam was atrocious and Dee was super sleepy. He almost hit the curb but managed to control the wheels, luckily. He said he was sleepy so what I did was I set out my skills right. I purposely picked up an argument with him. Sakitlah hati dia but that was my motive...I had to keep him awake and it worked! But we were so super tired when we reached home. So after visiting, we slept thru.....Mustaqim seemed sleepy too. Hahahaha.....Finally in Spore was where I got my beauty sleep hehehehehehehe.

The nite before we left for Spore, I visited Cik Asmah's place. Reza was geeting engaged to Hafiz. I never knew Reza has a boyfriend. Cepat betul lah dia besar kan. Cik Asmah was telling me about her courting days. Love letters her husband wrote to her and she now accidently threw all the proof away when they shifted house. She also told me my mom was good in writing, Her poetry is always publised in Berita Harian under the nickname of Narimah. Her sajak entitled "Dunia tua, manusia gila" was well recognised. Hmm.....I felt so proud when aunt Asmah said that. And no wonder once mak told me that she was proud that I was invited to attend Amatuer Poetry Conference at Germany sometime 2yrs ago. But money was scarce and I dont have that much money to spare. I will try to remeber the poetry and have it posted here ok....provided if I could remember and have it saved in my scrapes of papers. But sadly my mom too did not keep her master piece. She said she kept in a big book and after we shifted, the big book is abandoned. Alah sayang betul lah. Anyway, at least i know my mom had creativity in writting. :)

Ok now I know I have a flare in jual kain. So far the small-within-the-family business has been overwhelming and I am getting orders. Not very lucrative because I sell almost cost-to-cost. But at least it's quite fulfilling. Discussion with TK, Abg Razak and Noris was also fruitful. They want to make a trip this month and see if the deal can be closed. But I need to do a plan....meticulous lesson plan to toll of the plan. Time is what I am lacking now. The StarHub-HP joint campaign is making me very lethargic. I hope it can end very soon so that I can go home early and can start planning on what I should do.

Alrite, got to pen off now. I am receiving alot of calls and had to stop almost every 5mins. So ta-ta...
